ABOUT ME
Hello!

My name is Laura Rose Chapman. I am age 21 and have recently graduated from the University of South Wales where I studied Fashion Promotion.
​
Throughout the course, I have gained skills in photography, styling, fashion journalism, videography, branding and marketing as well as working on live briefs with brands such as Topshop and Ellesse. I also completed work placements with brands such as "Work shy" and "Nubyen" acting as a creative director and then a social media intern.
​
Now that I have completed the course, I feel my future lies within creative directing, fashion marketing or fashion journalism, although these are varied, I feel they apply the same principals of completing a project from concept to creation; something I strive in.
​
I feel my work is driven by my core values and interests in inclusivity, destigmatisasion, social commentary and pop culture.

STYLING & CREATIVE DIRECTION

The following images showcase my abilities to plan a photoshoot from concept to formation. The images below have been styled by myself as well as being driven in terms of concept. These images are from my final project in my final year of fashion promotion in which I curated a magazine for the brand @astrologieapparel. The two shoots were based around "camp" and The Met Gala and an interview with Joel Rothwell about being gay in 2021.

A shoot I worked on from concept to outcome as a solo creative. The shoot was based around reducing the stigma of acne within society. The photography, styling and set design was all curated by me from start to finish.

Shooting & styling product for the brand "astrologie apparel'. For use on website, social media and to support the upcoming magazine launch.

BRAND COLLABORATION:
WORK SHY
In January 2020 I completed a 2 week placement with sustainable workwear brand "Work Shy"
I acted as creative director for the shoot which was later used for social media and their upcoming website- it was the first time the brand had ever had professional images taken. I came up with the concept, sourced the models, photographer and styled the set and clothing.
MAGAZINE CREATION
Creating a magazine for start up fashion brand "astrologie apparel"
I worked closely with brand owner; Rhiannon Ellen to create a magazine to act as a promotional tool for raising the brand up. It centres around the core brand values of inclusivity, diversity and education. These are what I deem the highlights of the magazine.
